Conditions of Entry
- The closing date for receipt of completed Entry
Forms is Friday 5 September 2008.
- Following the closing date, there will be a
one week verification period before the completed entries
are forwarded to the judging panels. During this period,
entries will be reviewed to ensure entry criteria are met.
- Entries may be made in more than one category (for multiple
entries please submit each entry on a separate form – photocopies of
the standard entry form are acceptable). No supplementary
information or additional materials will be considered.
- Entries must address the criteria established for each category,
against which the judges will make their decision.
- The Awards are only open to organisations based in the Glasgow
Metropolitan area. Businesses which are owned by parent
companies or groups based outwith Glasgow may also enter
provided that the Glasgow organisation can demonstrate
a significant degree of autonomy over its operations, policies and
strategies.
- Award sponsors may not enter the category of which they are a sponsor.
- The judges’ decisions are final and while feedback may be provided,
no correspondence will be entered into. In certain cases,
shortlisted organisations may be required to submit sets
of audited accounts as supplementary information and may
be invited to give a short presentation on their entries.
- Shortlisted organisations in each of the award categories may
be visited by representatives of the judging panels to
validate their entry and assist with their final decision.
- Finalists for the award categories will receive two complimentary
tickets to attend The Glasgow Business Awards 2008 Dinner
and Awards Ceremony, to be held at Crowne Plaza Glasgow
Hotel on Thursday 23 October 2008, when the winner in
each category will be announced.
- Information supplied will be shared with the judging panel
and all information will be treated as confidential.
It will not be used for any purpose other than judging
the competition. Finalist organisations may be included
in related media coverage and may be required to take part in promotional
activities about the Glasgow Business Awards. It is a condition of
entering the awards that organisations do not contact the press about
their entry or being shortlisted as finalists prior to the announcement
of winners at the Dinner and Awards Ceremony on Thursday
23 October 2008. Back
